Shoes!

Recently, I took a trip to Italy, so I began searching for the perfect travel shoes. In the process, I discovered a couple other pairs which have become favorites of mine…
A new Web site called Piperlime sells the latest shoes and bags to hit the market. Affiliated with Gap, Inc., you can use your Gap, Banana Republic or Old Navy card to make purchases and earn reward points (score! I used both my $10 rewards card and 20% discount rewards card to buy shoes).
I haven’t bought a new pair of black, strappy sandals since…2002, when I found a great pair at JCrew. Unfortunately, they have at last started to fall apart. 
Piperlime sells an array of designer shoes, from Nine West to Puma and Prada. (No return shipping fees!) I zeroed in on a pair of sandals by Ralph Lauren. The heel may look high, the straps may appear thin, but they are, in fact, very comfortable. The straps fit perfectly across the toes, the ankle strap is adjustable and the sole is cushioned. I wore them twice to work — more than a nine hour day — and my feet were not sore as a result. Plus, they look great with a skirt, dress and even jeans. Perfect.
The other pair of summer shoes I found are a simple yet sophisticated flip flop. With its black patent straps and gold padded sole, these Report sandals are a pair of winners. Comfortable with just enough of a lift, these fashionable flip flops can be worn with shorts, jeans and a dress. I’ve been pairing them with summer dresses for the past couple of months…and I’m not really a fan of flip flops. 
Best yet: they just got marked down on Piperlime, so if you’re interested, get them while they’re in stock (they come in a variety of colors). Surprise: the bottom of the shoes feature a big heart with “I love you” written inside.
