Welcome to my blog!

Shelby poses with Christine
Every now and then I’ll log on to write about a weekend event or special occasion, my latest travel adventure, a recipe to share with friends, or quite simply, some of my favorite things.
For those who don’t know me…
I live in Southern California with my dog, Shelby, a nearly six-year-old yellow Lab. She’s a pretty cool pup with a complicated personality. Shelby and I are fortunate to live close enough to a dog beach, where she loves to spend as much time as possible swimming with her buddies. Her best friends, Katy and Sable, live close by and visit very often.
Work, work, work…
Luckily for me, my dog is also a part of my job. I’m the managing editor of a pet Web site for VPI Pet Insurance.
Check out the site for all things pet-related, from finding love at the dog park to caring for your pet’s health, reading tips of the day or your pet’s horoscope, or simply finding a (safe) perfect toy.
Shelby is always thrilled on the days she can hang out at the office with me, carrying her teddy bear around as she greets all her favorite people.
And, yes, Shelby, Katy and Sable are all card-carrying policyholders with VPI Pet Insurance. Helps pay the vet bills when you need it most!
Family, friends, etc…
Fortunately, my sister, Sam, lives just a little more than 10 miles away in one direction, while my boyfriend, Bob, lives just about 10 miles away in the other direction. And, for the time being, my office is a mere 3.5 miles from my front door. Makes for a nice, quick getaway during lunch.
My parents, meanwhile, live more than 3,000 miles away on the East Coast — at least that is when they’re not shacking up at the family abode in Santa Marinella, just outside of Rome, Italy.
Alas, my closest friends live too far away to visit often: Florida, Missouri, Northern California and NYC. Hence the reason for creating this blog! Enjoy!

Have been enjoying your trip and wish I could taste the yummy food, too! I trust you are having a wonderful time and can’t wait to talk to you when you get home. Running into Bobby’s old friend reinforces that this really is a small world. Be safe!
